Sportive Massage
Sportive massage is a special form of massage similar to the Swedish massage (slow/fast, gentle/deep strokes, kneading, pressure, percussion, etc.), but this variant is typically used before, during, and after athletic events. It helps to alleviate stress and tensions that build up in the body's soft tissues during physical activity, whether a person is an athlete or a once-a-week jogger.
Each type of sport has different demands on the body and requires different muscle groups. Sportive massage is designed to address those specific concerns in order to prepare the athlete for peak performance, while minimizing the risk of injury.
Sportive massage therapy also improves a fast recovery. When minor injuries and lesions occur, due to overexertion or overuse, this massage improves them quickly and effectively by enhancing blood flow to trained muscles, eliminating toxins, lactic acid and reducing contractures. The muscle fibers are thus repaired and regenerated more easily and more quickly, and the body recovers its flexibility.
